1 Why Inclusion Matters in Music
Instructor
Vick Bain
Course Overview
This course introduces why inclusion is essential for music and creative industries. You’ll explore how inclusive (or exclusive) these sectors really are, and reflect on the real-world impact exclusion has on artists, professionals, and businesses. Through a personal reflection assignment, you’ll examine your own experiences and perspectives. The lessons also highlight why understanding equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) is crucial for healthier workplaces, and outline the top ten benefits of embedding these principles into your music professional environment. Completing this course, including the assignment, should take no more than one hour.
