MUSIC CULTURE CREATOR

The Music Culture Creator (MCC) is an innovative training platform designed to help freelance music professionals and those in music businesses. The courses have unique benefits for music industry professionals:

  • They are built specifically for the music industry, addressing industry behaviours, structures and career progression dynamics rather than generic corporate EDI frameworks and offerings.
    • They are grounded in doctoral research in diversity in music, alongside two decades of sector leadership experience, so they combine structural analysis with practical application.
    • The modular, asynchronous format allows individuals to engage at their own pace, making it workable for busy industry professionals and different levels of seniority.

The MCC’s five interconnected courses take you on a journey from understanding why inclusion matters, through to embedding inclusive practices. Along the way, you’ll explore key data and legislation, reflect on music industry case studies, have access to helpful resources and learn frameworks you can apply directly in your professional and creative environments.

The MCC is ideal for beginners: you don’t need any prior experience to take part. Each course should take approximately 60 to 90 minutes and consists of bite-size lessons you can save and return to at any time. By completing the courses, you’ll gain important foundational knowledge and confidence to help create a more inclusive music industry.
