The Music Culture Creator (MCC) Academy is an innovative training platform designed to help freelance music professionals and those in music businesses. Centred on principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), the MCC Academy blends relevant music industry evidence, reflection, and practical tools to support meaningful cultural change across the industry.
The MCC Academy’s five interconnected courses take you on a journey from understanding why inclusion matters, through to embedding inclusive practices. Along the way, you’ll explore key data and legislation, reflect on music industry case studies, have access to helpful resources and learn frameworks you can apply directly in your professional and creative environments.
The MCC Academy is ideal for beginners: you don’t need any prior experience to take part, and each course should take approximately between 60 and 90 minutes. They are all light-touch introductions that gradually build step by step and by completing the courses, you’ll gain important foundational knowledge and confidence to help create a more inclusive music industry.
